Alessandra (“Ale”) firmly believes that investors have the privilege and the responsibility to invest capital where it matters the most. Today at ACE Ventures she leads the climate tech investment thesis, backing impact-driven founders on a mission to help solve the world’s greatest challenge.

Since joining ACE Ventures, she has sourced and led investments in companies like Neustark, Pledge, SmartHelio, Picterra, and the fintech Nsave.

An engineer at heart, Ale obtained a MSc and a BSc in energy and nuclear engineering from the Polytechnic University of Torino. After a stint as a researcher at the Tsinghua University of Beijing, she quickly realized that she wasn’t cut out for an academic career and took her chances to the oil and commodities industry, where she spent overall 6 years across roles in research, investment and trading, more recently at Trafigura in Geneva.

Ale is a board observer at Picterra, and is a member of the ESG working group at ACE & Company.
