Since joining ACE in 2021, João has been sourcing and investing in promising businesses from Seed to Series B+ globally as a generalist investor, with a bias for Fintech.

In addition to his responsibilities on the investment front, he also provides support to ACE portfolio companies, partnering with them on their company-building journey, including advising them on growth and fundraising opportunities. João has led or was actively involved in ACE's investments in Astranis, Compra Rapida, Fazz Financial, Invofox, Joy, Upway, Wayflyer, and others.

Prior to ACE, João was an early member of CloudKitchens’ EMEA team where he led a multitude of cross-functional projects across international expansion, operations, strategic planning and fundraising. He was also part of WeWork’s Growth team.

João started his career at Credit Suisse (London & New York), where he advised companies on strategic financing transactions, with a focus on the Consumer & Retail sector, including eCommerce, DTC and FoodTech.

Portuguese & Greek by nationality, João speaks 5 languages and is a graduate of the University of Warwick.
